Gardens Master Plan, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center
The conceptual design includes a ring of fine gardens surrounding a naturalistic garden at the core of the Wildflower Center, transitioning to more naturalistic landscapes as you move outward. On the plan (left), buildings are shown in dark brown, and central garden areas in orange. These will be highly stylized gardens using native plants but emphasizing beauty and abstract design. The light green areas indicate future naturalistic gardens, and the dark green represents environmental restoration and research areas.
