Stopford Family Meadow Maze, Tyler Arboretum
A wraparound Brush Pile provides a circular enclosure and habitat for native animals - including birds and small mammals - and offers an immersive experience for children. Since the animals tend to hide when the children are visiting, custom-made steppingstones are imprinted with animal footprints. These two (left) tell the story of the fox chasing the rabbit. Children make rubbings of the footprints, a hands-on experience that makes the lesson more memorable.
