The Stopford Family Meadow Maze is Tyler Arboretum's first major new educational destination, where families and school children can learn about native animal/plant relationships.

The John C. Wister Rhododendron Garden preserves and enhances Tyler's substantial collection of hardy rhododendrons, first assembled in the 1950s and 60s when Dr. Wister was Tyler's director. Dr. Wister planted more than 500 varieties of rhododendrons and 200 varieties of azaleas.
